Level #3: 12-month "Journey of Excellence" Workshop Series: The monthly workshop series serves as the foundation for the 5-Level Program as our athletes partake on a yearlong "Journey of Excellence" focused on defining a dream for their lives, developing the mentality and skills to achieve it, and leaving a legacy of positive impact through their life’s mission. The workshops are taught over the course of four series outlined below:

Series #1: "The Journey Begins with a Dream"
Summary: All great accomplishments begin with a dream, and are backed up with goals and action steps to get there. Participants are challenged to take a telescope (big picture) / microscope (daily action) approach to life that causes them to define a Definite Major Purpose (DMP) for their future, and develop a focused action plan to achieve it. This process is the foundation for the "Journey of Excellence," as the program material is then personalized to help each individual participant reach their own DMP.

Series #2: "The Mental Edge"

It’s often said that successful people don’t have a magnitude of additional skills over the average person, but rather they just think differently. Participants are challenged to develop a "Champion’s Mentality," and are given time-tested techniques that will help them to persevere through the inevitable challenges they will face on their "Dream Journey;" challenges that all too often steal our dreams.

Participants are given "Traits of Excellence" that help to solidify their hearts and minds in these (4) core areas. In addition, basic success skills, such as giving an effective presentation, networking, developing relationships, time & financial management, how to have power & confidence in dealing with people, etc. are also taught as essential components in achieving their DMP’s.

Series #4: "Leadership: What it Takes???"
Summary: Ultimately our dreams can never be reached without the help of others. Quite often, our ability to lead and bring out the best in our teammates will determine whether or not our dreams ever become a reality. Since our ability to lead others is largely determined by our ability to lead ourselves on a daily basis, the first (3) workshop series were geared toward preparing participants to lead their own "Journey of Excellence." Now, participants will be challenged to bring others along with them in an effort to "Leave a Legacy of Greatness" with their lives.

Materials: Given that the participants are 9-months into their "Journey of Excellence" at this point, the materials are chosen as the group approaches this workshop series. TLA uses a variety of interactive techniques, and various servant leadership texts and philosophies to greatly enhance and personalize this segment of training.

Workshop #3: Leaving a Legacy of Greatness
